1.6 litre turbocharged CRDi diesel engine

Hyundai sell more diesels than anyone else in New Zealand, and the i30's superb 1.6 litre turbocharged Common Rail Direct injection (CRDi) diesel engine is one reason why. It provides a very impressive 85 kW of power at 4000 rpm and 260 Nm of torque at 2000 rpm. The state of the art diesel complies with stringent EURO IV emission regulations - delivering superior power, performance and economy.
2.0 DOHC 16 valve Beta petrol engine
for those with a more... sporting orientation, we offer a highly responsive 2.0 DOHC 16 valve Beta petrol engine that achieves an outstanding 105 kW of power at 6000 rpm and torque of 186 Nm at 4600 rpm. The 2.0 petrol also features CVVT for increased fuel economy and effortless power.

The i30’s sharp performance comes in three choices; a 2.0 or 1.6 liter petrol engine, or a 1.6 turbo-diesel. All can be mated with our silky 5 speed manual transmission, with the 2.0 also available as a refined 4-speed automatic.
