2.4 litre petrol engine
This high-tech 2.4 engine produces 128 kW of power at 6000 rpm and 226 Nm of torque at 3750 rpm. It features Continuously Variable Valve Timing (CVVT), which delivers dynamic and robust power at high rpm - and increased torque at low rpm - while also lowering vehicle emissions and raising fuel economy.

Hyundai engineers have taken the world engine, the largest gasoline engine program in the world, and created the lighter, more fuel efficient and cleaner-running Theta-II engine. You have the choice of two thrifty and clean-burning petrol engines for the ix35: the Theta-II 2.0 litre petrol engine which produces 122 kW of power at 6200 rpm and 197 Nm of torque at 4600 rpm, while the Theta-II 2.4 litre petrol engine delivers 130 kW of power at 6000 rpm and 227 Nm of torque at 4000 rpm.
